The Buclé Scarf

Timeless. Classic. Elegant.

The Aymara people from South American traditionally tell time using a quípu, which is a long string made of cotton or camelid fibers woven into long bands.

Important events, such as harvests, marriages, or war, are marked by a knot tied along the string, which itself represents the passage of time.

Today, the Buclé pattern is an homage to this tradition, with its repeated knots symbolizing a connection to the past and also towards the future, connecting them both. Our Buclé scarf measures 60 cm wide and 200 cm long and is made with 100% alpaca wool sustainably sourced from northern Chile.

100% Alpaca wool.

100% Handmade.

100% Feel good, socially conscious slow fashion.

Prices in Canadian dollars.

Like all of our products, the Buclé scarf is made to order by a member of the Aymar Sawuri cooperative, like Nely Choque pictured here below. This means we keep our inventories small and lean, and our artists earn direct profits at the time of order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production from the time of order.

Super high quality scarves, with beautiful designs.

The Florezca scarves are so soft and versatile. I wear mine on planes, trains and biking all the time

I am in love with this luscious poncho! Everything about it is soft - the way it feels, the way it drapes, even the colours. These weavers are super talented and I'm so glad this piece came to live with me. I am especially grateful to have more natural fibres in my house, what with the baby putting everything in his mouth these days!!

Becca McC, Ottawa-Gatineau

I ordered 3 of these scarves and they are incredible - beautifully designed and the quality of wool and weaving is wonderful. I'm also super impressed with the sustainable business model Florezca has developed. Highly recommended!
