The Buclé Scarf

The Aymara people from South American traditionally tell time using a quípu, which is a long string made of cotton or camelid fibers woven into long bands.
Important events, such as harvests, marriages, or war, are marked by a knot tied along the string, which itself represents the passage of time.
Today, the Buclé pattern is an homage to this tradition, with its repeated knots symbolizing a connection to the past and also towards the future, connecting them both. Our Buclé scarf measures 60 cm wide and 200 cm long and is made with 100% alpaca wool sustainably sourced from northern Chile.

This means we keep our inventories small and lean, and our artists earn direct profits at the time of order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production from the time of order.
