All business people will tell you it all begins with an idea. That is true, and it seems to sometimes underestimate the work that putting together a small business can take. But the idea, yes. We all need to start with an idea.

I have no background in web design, importing, sales or marketing. No background in social media to speak of. What I do have is years of experience working and living alongside hardworking men and women in small communities throughout Latin America who work day and night to preserve and protect what they love and rely on: their natural environment.

I am hoping that is enough inspiration to get me through the early months, and now as Covid 19 is disrupting basically every aspect of our daily routines, I will maybe need more. Thankfully Yenny, Sussana and Elizabeth are pretty good Zoomers.

I am excited to start this small venture. I believe in our products and I know that alpaca wool really is a traditional luxury because it has been used by Indigenous communities for thousands of years. Hopefully we can bring that luxury to customers in North America and beyond, and build up strong relationships along the way.
